Benedict's Place

  • A community initiative to help young men experiencing loneliness, lack of self-worth or purpose and related mental health challenges
  • Open to 18-35 year old males (we hope to extend to young women in the near future)
  • All will be actively encouraged to get involved in either furniture upcycling and/or garden landscape projects. No previous experience or skills needed.
  • Tea and Coffee will be available
  • Open every Monday of the year from the 18th May 2026 (except Easter Monday/Christmas Day/Boxing Day or New Year's day if they fall on a Monday) - Opening hours 16:00-19:00
  • We are volunteers offering peer support through listening and practical means, not professional counselling. A list of professional agencies and organisations can be found in the section below.
  • We are not a support group that can deal with Alcohol or Drug issues and therefore cannot work with anyone who has challenges in this area. We include agencies that can offer support in this area in the section below.

 

 

 

However you are feeling, whatever your thoughts, it is always best to share them. 

The old adage that "a problem shared is a problem halved" is 100% true. You are not alone with your thoughts!
